I love fabric shopping – but then again, what sewist doesn’t? I try to think of a project when purchasing fabric, but that doesn’t always occur – which can lead to a growing stash! I picked out three fabrics from my stash that I am currently on the search for that perfect project. So here are this weeks three!
- Polka Dot French Terry – I fell in love with this French Terry after seeing Abbey from Sew Charleston‘s Undercover Hoodie and it immediately found its way into my cart. It’s from Style Maker Fabrics and it’s still in stock! I can’t decide what to do with it though – I’m thinking maybe a Linden or maybe a Halifax?
- Liberty Lawn – I was picking my serger up from service at Finch Knitting and Sewing Studio and this Liberty print caught my eye from across the studio! I immediately bought three yards of it and am determined to find the perfect project for it. I’m not sure if I want to make a top or a dress from the fabric, but since I have three yards, I want to use it most efficiently!
- Dotted Rayon – I am taking a Saiph Tunic Class at Stitch Sew Shop later this month and have been so indecisive about what fabric to make it in. I think I’ve decided to go with my first choice, so it leaves a couple rayons up for grabs in my stash! This dotted rayon is so drapey and would make a gorgeous top. I have three yards of it (that’s my magic number for I have no clue what to make with this, so I guess I’ll buy three yards!) so lots of room for different options – maybe even two tops! I really like the Azaire or a Scout Tee?
Any ideas for me? Do you have any fabrics that you’re dying to use but can’t decide what to do with them? Feel free to share below!
That dotted rayon would be perfect for an Azaire. Would you have enough left to make a Scout tee as well? You could also do another Southport! That rayon would drape so well!!! Can you tell I am already dreaming of warm weather?
