This past weekend was filled with so much overdue sewing! I was on a sewing marathon sewing up 5 tops, a pair of leggings and this dress - so there will be lots to share around here this week. The first thing I sewed up this weekend was part of my Me Made Monday - the Sew Over It Silk Cami. Next up, I'm sharing my Zadie Dress by Tilly and the Buttons. Most of this weekend's sewing was from a mental list I put together during the busy months of January and February. High on my list for the ... View Post
Me Made Monday – Silk Cami + Laurelhurst
We've been having some amazing temperatures here in Virginia. February feels like May and I am not complaining! This weekend, I decided that I was in need of some new tops in my wardrobe and decided to go into my stash for some inspiration. The first new addition to my wardrobe this weekend was this Sew Over It Silk Cami. I have made a handful of these tops - mainly when I first started sewing. In the past, I had a lot of issues with the facing sitting flat across my chest. I decided to do a ... View Post
Me Made Monday – Primrose Peplum
Sometimes I think about those RTW tops I've always steered away from at stores because "Oh that won't look good on me..." or "That's not me..." and how now I dive right in with sewing patterns. Me Made Monday – Saiph Tunic
It's time for another Me Made Monday! This week I'm talking about my Saiph Tunic by Paper Cut Patterns styled with my Ginger Jeans. I should really call this make My Love/Hate Relationship with Rayon. I saw this floral rayon at Stitch Sew Shop and knew immediately that it would be perfect for this project. It was such a great weight and texture and I knew the circle skirt would be so flowy with the rayon fabric! What I didn't take into account is how finick-ey it was! Let's not get ... View Post
